HUNT

HUNT is a broad-spectrum, systemic pre-emergence herbicide containing Pyrazosulfuron Ethyl 10% WP. It effectively controls various broadleaf and sedge weeds in direct seeded and transplanted paddy.

It works by inhibiting the Acetolactate Synthase (ALS) enzyme, essential for the synthesis of key amino acids in weeds. This interruption halts cell division in weed roots, leading to their gradual death.

To maximize efficacy, the field must be flooded at the time of or immediately after application and kept submerged for optimum results.

Dosage & Application:

• Recommended Dose:

  • 20 gm per acre (standard application)

• Water Volume: 120–150 liters per acre

• Application Timing:

  • Pre-emergence: Within 0–5 days after transplanting or direct seeding

• Method:

  • Mix with water and apply as broadcast spray using a flat-fan or knapsack sprayer

  • Flood the field during and after application for optimal results

 

Precautions:

• Do not allow the field to dry soon after application

• Avoid application on sandy soils

• Use protective clothing while spraying

• Store in original container in a cool, dry place
