COLFER is a high-performance plant growth regulator containing Paclobutrazol 23% SC, widely used to optimize flowering, reduce excessive vegetative growth, and improve fruit yield and quality, especially in mango crops.

Paclobutrazol works by inhibiting gibberellin biosynthesis, resulting in reduced foliage growth and enhanced resource allocation toward reproductive growth. This translates to early flowering, uniform fruit development, and increased productivity.

Mode of Action:

Paclobutrazol blocks gibberellin production, reducing internode elongation and shifting plant energy from foliage to flower and fruit development. This encourages compact growth, better flowering, and improved fruiting outcomes.

Dosage & Application (Drench Method):

• Based on tree age:

  • 5–15 years → 12 ml per tree

  • 16–25 years → 20 ml per tree

  • Above 25 years → 30 ml per tree

• Application Method:

  • Soil drench around the tree base (root zone)

  • Apply once during the early post-monsoon period (August–September)

 

Precautions:

• Use protective gear (gloves, mask) during application

• Avoid application during heavy rains

• Do not mix with strong chemical fungicides or alkaline products

• Store in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight and heat

• Keep away from children and animals
