Helio

Helio is a systemic, post-emergence selective herbicide that contains Halosulfuron Methyl 75% WG, specifically developed for controlling broadleaf weeds and sedges, especially Cyperus rotundus (purple nut sedge) and Cyperus iria (yellow nut sedge).

It is absorbed by roots and foliage and quickly translocated within the plant. The herbicide inhibits acetolactate synthase (ALS) — a key enzyme for plant growth — which results in effective weed control without harming the main crop.

Dosage & Application:

• Recommended Dose: 33–66 grams per acre (as per weed density)

• Dilution: Mix thoroughly in 150–200 liters of water per acre

• Application Time: Post-emergence (after weeds have sprouted)

• Method: Use a flat-fan or hollow cone nozzle for even spray

 

Precautions:

• Do not apply during strong wind or rain

• Avoid spray drift to nearby sensitive crops

• Wear gloves, mask, and protective clothing during application

• Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from food/feed

• Do not mix with strong acidic or alkaline products
