Product Composition

  • Metsulfuron-Methyl (JO96 w/w)

    • A systemic sulfonylurea herbicide.

    • Used in rice, wheat, and sugarcane.

    • Inhibits acetolactate synthase (ALS), blocking amino acid synthesis in weeds.

  • Chlorimuron-Ethyl (109a)

    • Another sulfonylurea herbicide.

    • Typically used in soybeans and legumes.

    • Also inhibits the ALS enzyme.

  • WP (Wettable Powder)

    • Indicates the formulation type: a powder that must be mixed with water before spraying.

  • Broad-spectrum post-emergent herbicide.

  • Effective against broadleaf weeds and some sedges and grasses.

  • Low application rates due to high potency.

  • Long-lasting residual control (depending on crop and soil).

 

Usage Instructions (General)

Always follow the specific product label instructions, but generally:

  • Dosage: 4–8 grams per acre (may vary by formulation and crop).

  • Application stage: Post-emergence (when weeds have already sprouted).

  • Water: Mix in 100–200 liters per hectare for uniform coverage.

  • Precautions:

    • Avoid drift to non-target crops.

    • Not suitable for crops sensitive to sulfonylurea herbicides.

    • Use protective equipment while handling and spraying.
